DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — More than a month after his sentencing in Iowa, the former VisitDothan CEO has turned himself over to the Federal Bureau of Prisons to serve his sentence.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, sometime this week, Aaron McCreight turned himself over to FPC Montgomery, a minimum security federal prison camp at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery.

The prison camp is an all-male institute with a total of 401 inmates.

In February, McCreight was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison, and 3 years under supervised release. He must also pay $1,554,503 in restitutions

According to court records, McCreight, along with Doug Hargrave an associate of McCreight’s, both pled guilty to bank fraud in January 2022.

McCreight was accused of committing bank fraud while working in Cedar Rapids Iowa.

After his sentencing, VisitDothan praised McCreight for his work.
