Robert Smith, Multimedia Journalist/Sports Personnel
Robert Smith is a multimedia journalist at WDHN News 18. He began working at the station in August 2018 as a production assistant. Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Troy University in December 2017. While at Troy, Smith marched in the Sound of South and was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi.
He was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. While attending Troy University, Smith went back home to intern at WBRC Fox 6 news in Birmingham, Alabama. He experienced all the aspects of the news industry.
When Robert is not at work, he enjoys playing video games, bowling with friends, traveling, going to concerts, and working out. He also enjoys watching sports in his free time.
