COTTONWOOD, Ala. (WDHN) — A Cottonwood senior will be taking her ball-handling skills to the next level.
Diamond Acree put ink to paper on Monday morning as she signed with Calhoun Community College to play basketball for the Warhawks next season.
Acree helped lead the Bears to a Sweet 16 appearance this past season and will look to put on a show for Warhawk fans in the fall.
Acree says that the Warhawk coaches liked how she handled the ball and how she brought the ball up the court.
“To be on a different level than I was before, I am thankful for that,” Warhawk signee Diamond Acree said. ” It will allow me to be a better person playing basketball and get to the next level in history.”
Acree also says she will wear number one at Calhoun Community College just like she did at Cottonwood.
