MIDLAND CITY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dale County High School softball team is celebrating its first trip to the state tournament since 2019.
After losing four seniors last year the Warriors didn’t exactly expect this season to turn out the way it has, but they’ve fought hard to make it to where they are now.
Head coach Nicole Dutton says the close knit team chemistry, the outfield continuing to playing well and pitching staying sharp will put them in good position at state.
They’ve all kind of figured out their place on this team here in the last I would say month. They’ve all started doing their part to help the team and it’s really showing they’re all putting it together right now.
In their first game of the tournament, the Warriors take on American Christian Academy at 9 a.m. on Thursday in Oxford, Alabama.
