SKIPPERVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — Rebel senior Kobie Stringer signed to play basketball for Lurleen B. Wallace Community College.

Stringer was a standout on the gridiron and the hardwood his entire high school career.

His senior basketball season he averaged 19.7 points per game and 5.8 rebounds.

Stringer racked up 1,832 career points over the course of his time with G.W. Long.

The Saints’ program stuck out to Stringer because of the people.

“The coaching staff and the coach pushing me every time I went and going head to head with some of the guys,” Stringer said. “They’re just great up there.”

Stringer credits G.W. Long head basketball coach Vaughn Hill with pushing him to be a great leader and teammate on the court.
