REHOBETH, Ala. (WDHN) — Rehobeth baseball has a new head coach.

Parker Moman has been an assistant for the Rebels for five years.

He’s lead the Rebels’ middle school program for three.

Now he takes over from John Griffin who retired at the end of this season.

The whole team has played for Moman at the middle school level which he believes will help his transition to being their high school head coach.

When Moman was a freshman at Ashford a young guy took over the Yellowjackets baseball program, since then he’s dreamed of having this opportunity.

“It can be a 24-year-old guy that doesn’t have any experience that just has that energy and that will to make better players and prepare and come out and do what it takes to win,” Moman said. “That really started at a young age and I knew then that I wanted to do p.e. and I wanted to coach baseball for however long I could.”

Moman says we can expect the team to be young but competitive this upcoming season.
