DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Southeast Health named its nurse of the year as part of National Nurses Week.
The winner is selected for their compassion and dedication to nursing in service to patients, guests, and other staff members
During a reception to celebrate a week-long of activities, Sheyenne Smith who is a nurse in the emergency department was named Southeast Health’s Nurse of the Year.
This honor, better known as the Daisy Award has been given to 24 other nurses in the past.
Other finalists were Saege Johnson, Nataleigh Jones, Robin Kibler, and Thanh Ha Shaw.
Southeast Health is thankful for every single one of its nurse’s hard work and dedication to the Wiregrass community.
