ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) —  The City of Progress is bringing in the holiday season with the annual lighting of the Enterprise Christmas Tree.

The tree-lighting ceremony will occur at Enterprise City Hall at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30. The Rev. Matt Jordan of Enterprise First Methodist Church will deliver the message, “The Reason for the Season.”

The ceremony will feature music by the Hillcrest Elementary School Choir, under the direction of Sarah McLendon. Special guests attending include Whoville characters, the Enterprise Queens and Santa Claus.

Local businessman Chad Wester will serve as the host of the event. Wester and his wife Kendra own Boll Weevil Soap Company on Main Street. Their business was named the Alabama Gold Retailer of the Year in the Annual Sales Less than $1 Million category in 2022 by the Alabama Retail Association.

After the ceremony, everyone is encouraged to stay for cookies and hot chocolate as well as photos with Santa.
