WIREGRASS, Ala. (WDHN) — With the Christmas holiday just around the corner, there are plenty of events for the whole family to attend and have a holly jolly time.

Here’s a look at December holiday events in the Wiregrass.

Thursday, December 1

The Enterprise Christmas Parade will start at 6:30 p.m. and begin on North Main Street in Enterprise. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for the parade.

The City of Dothan will be having a Christmas Tree Lighting event located at the Dothan Civic Center at 5:30 p.m.

The Cottonwood Christmas Parade will begin on Sealy Wells Road at 6:30 p.m. and end at Cottonwood High School.

Friday, December 2

The Dothan Botanical Gardens is hosting Gardens Aglow from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. The cost is $8 per person and is free for kids ages 8 and under.

The Town of Cowarts is having the 3rd Annual Christmas Celebration and Parade. Vendors will be available at 3:00 p.m. behind Cowarts Town Hall and the parade will start at 6:00 p.m.

The Geneva Christmas Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. The parade will begin on Commerce Street and end at Robert Fowler Park. The Christmas Tree will be lit at the gazebo after the parade. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be attending for pictures with attendees.

Saturday, December 3

The Town of Webb will be having Christmas at the Park located at 6215 Old Webb Road from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Christmas parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Santa will hand out goody bags at 6:15 p.m. and will depart at 7:15 p.m. Games, movies, hayrides, and concessions will be available.

Downtown Enterprise will be hosting the 5th Annual Whoville Celebration located on West College Street from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Attendees can purchase ten tickets for $15 for ticketed rides or $10 for a wristband for unlimited play.

The 2nd Annual Town of Rehobeth Christmas Parade will start at the Rehobeth High School at 9:00 a.m. and end at the Rehobeth Elementary School. The craft show and live entertainment will begin after the parade. There will be vendors, food trucks, train rides, activity booths, and more. The band Stateline will perform from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Santa will also be stopping by for a visit.

Sunday, December 4

The Slocomb Annual Christmas Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will be at Centennial Park after the parade. Fireworks will end the evening after the parade and tree-lighting ceremony.

Monday, December 5

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Enterprise City Hall Courtyard will begin at 6:00 p.m. Following the lighting ceremony, attendees are invited to stay for cookies, provided by Century 21, as well as hot chocolate provided by Enterprise Parks and Recreation. Photos with Santa will also be available after the ceremony which will take place inside City Hall.

Friday, December 9

Jeep Tribe USA is hosting Ashford’s Christmas Parade at 5:00 p.m. Line-up will begin at Watermark Church and travel to downtown Ashford.

Saturday, December 10

Dothan Leisure Services and Brit & Bear are hosting the 2nd Annual Paws and Claus located at Eastgate Park. The event will be from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Santa Claus himself will be attending to take pictures with the fur babies.

There will be plenty of dog-oriented vendors, giveaways, and more. Donations from the event will be divided between Angel Paws and the Wiregrass Humane Society. The donations also are also entered for a chance to win a prize giveaway.

Dothan Downtown is having a Christmas Festival located downtown at 5:30 p.m. Photos with Santa and the Grinch, holiday crafts, letters to Santa, and other activities will be available for those attending.

Thursday, December 15

The Chick-fil-a on East Main Street in Dothan will be having pictures with Santa from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be activies including cookie decorating and bingo. Chick-fil-a is also offering a free kids meal with a purchase of a meal or salad

Wednesday, December 21

Dothan Leisure Services will be having a Christmas Break Camp from December 21, 22, and 27-30. The camp will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is $50 per child to attend, field trips are included in the fee.

Food will not be provided, kids attending should pack a cold lunch and snack daily. The Christmas Break Camp will be held at Andrew Belle Community Center, Westgate Recreation Center, and Wiregrass Recreation Center. To register, please visit www.dothanleisureservices.org/registration.
