Alabama COVID-19 hospitalizations at their lowest in four months

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Alabama’s COVID-19 hospitalizations have fallen for the eighth day in the role to 762 hospitalizations among 103 hospitals.

This is the lowest the COVID-19 hospitalizations have been since Oct. 3, 2020.

Locally, Southeast Health is treating 37 patients for the virus, a considerable drop from the major surge seen in early January. In total, 1,386 inpatients have been discharged by the hospital while 266 patients have died since the pandemic began.

Meanwhile, Flowers Hospital treated 22 COVID-19 patients Monday, three less than last Wednesday when the hospital previously released its COVID-19 data.
