ABBEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — Henry County is implementing new COVID guidelines starting next month for county employees.
The guidelines of exposure have changed and state that if you are unvaccinated and have been within 6 feet of someone with COVID for more than 15 minutes, you are required to quarantine.
If you are fully vaccinated and have been exposed, you are not required to quarantine. In addition, taking days off due to COVID will follow a different policy, according to the Henry County Commission Chairman David Money.
“You have to stop this paying for people to be continuously out, so starting October 1, if they have to miss work because they are either positive or they are out on quarantine not having been vaccinated, then they will be charging through sick leave or vacation time,” Money said.
