OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Ozark City Schools has announced that masks will be required for students, faculty, and guests when the semester begins on Wednesday, January 5, according to a Facebook post.

Masks will also be required on school buses and at all indoor school events.

The school system will also be offering COVID-19 testing starting January 10.

Both Houston County Schools and Dothan City have opted to strongly encourage masks instead of requiring them indoor, excluding school buses where they are required.

Superintendent Girtman told WDHN that COVID protocols may be adapted in the coming weeks depending on how local case numbers change.
