Southeast Health to vaccinate children as young as 12 next week

Coronavirus

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Southeast Health will vaccinate teenagers ages 12 to 15 against COVID-19 beginning next Tuesday.

This comes after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for the age group earlier this week.

Children ages 12 and 13 will need to have a guardian or parent with them to give consent to the vaccination. Those 14 and over can consent on their own.

The vaccine clinic will be located on the second floor of the Doctors Building at Southeast Health. Patients can make an appointment on the hospital website or walk in during clinic hours.

Vaccines are done from 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday through Thursday.
