HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — As part of National CPR and AED Awareness Week, Southeast Health is pushing forward its efforts to make Dothan the first Heart Safe City in Alabama.

Starting May 31, the hospital along with Dothan Fire and Southeast Alabama Emergency Medical Services will be hosting free CPR and AED training.

These classes and having a certain amount of AEDs available throughout the community help with the goal of making the Circle City the first Heart-Safe City, a community that trains people on the importance of heart health.

The first training will be held on Wednesday at Southeast Health’s, Doctor Building.

  • June 2nd – SARCOA
  • June 3rd – Wiregrass Public Safety Center
  • June 6th – Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce
  • June 7th – Southeast Alabama EMS Offices
