DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — All of the angel trees have been taken to help those in need throughout the community, but now the Salvation Army needs 100 of those orders to be returned.

The tree donations were supposed to be returned two days ago.

377 families will be receiving a food box and gifts and 320 senior citizens.

If the 100 tree donations are not turned in on time, the donations will still be given out to those in need, but they will come out of the Salvation Army’s yearly budget.

“We will give out to every angel,” Dothan Salvation Army Corp Officer, Major Linda Payton said. “We will have to put together the bags for those angels, which then of course cuts out from our money for the rest of the year.”

The 697 boxes of food and gifts will be distributed on Monday at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds.

So if you still need to turn in your angel tree donation you still have the weekend to do so or you can donate.
