DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — 483 care packages were made on Monday for nurses at Flowers Hospital and Southeast Health.

One-hundred and eighty bags were sent to Flowers Hospital and 303 bags were sent to Southeast Health.

The bags were put together from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. The bags included water, coffee, snacks and personal hygiene goods for the nurses at the two hospitals.

After stuffing the bags, they were delivered by members of the Rotary Club throughout the afternoon on Monday.

Dothan Rotary collected donations from the community to show their appreciation for the nurses continued work through the pandemic.

“Their hard work during the pandemic and during the time when they have been so busy, having to work long hours,” Dothan Rotary Club President, Sheila Azar said. “We just appreciate what they have done because it’s our family members and our friends that they have taken care of during this time.”

The Dothan Rotary Club received additional donations from Nantze Springs and from the Buffalo Rock Pepsi Company.
