DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man has been indicted by a grand jury in Houston County for starting allegedly starting two fires on Oates Street in Dothan.
Jeffrey Lanor Watford, 39, of Dothan is charged with two counts of second-degree arson.
Police say Watford confessed to starting the two different fires on Oates Street on March 28th.
Watford is currently in the Houston County Jail being held on a $60,000 bond.
Both of the fires on North Oates Street and South Oates Street happened at abandoned buildings.
No one was inside the buildings at the time of the March fires.
Watford’s jury trial is set to begin on October 31st and has an arraignment hearing set for September 14th.
