DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — If you had a huge appetite Saturday, the 8th food truck festival was held downtown.

In the parking lot of the Old Porter Square Mall, around 10 food vendors apart of the Alabama Food Truck Association set up shop to cure your appetite.

To name a few, Say It Hot Dogs and More, the Taste of Louisiana, JJ’s Shack and if you wanted to beat the heat, Sugar Skullz Sweets and Treats.

The president of the Alabama Food Truck Association said they have around 26 food vendors and that number keeps growing as its becoming a new trend.

“With the Alabama Food Truck Association, we’re bringing it into a standard where everybody has a standard and we do a good job I mean everybody is their own business owner but we come together to help each other out,” Walker said.

Walker said everybody must have been hungry as it was a great turnout — around 75 to 100 cars in the parking lot.
