OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — From now on, the Boys and Girls Club will honor a youth member who has portrayed a positive attitude, good sportsmanship, respect, and other good principles that the organization teaches.
For the month of may, staff selected Tajlyn Reaves, and for this month Stephen Colvin.
Both recipients received a care package from Buffalo Rock full of soft drinks, a T-shirt, and note pads, among other goodies.
“I’m happy because my staff chose me and I wanted to be a good person I have a little brother here and I wanted to set an example for the little kids,” Reaves said.
“It feels really accomplishing and great it’s a great accomplishment especially with it being my first month here it feels really amazing,” Colvin said.
The spotlight was not only on the youth but also on two staff members for being good mentors to the young people. Volunteer Hayes Shepard was selected for May and Whit Rikard for June.
