DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The National Peanut Festival hosted its poultry show on Thursday evening.

These feathered friends were on display for the public to show off their tail feathers.

The show gives viewers a look at some of the best chickens on display and how well each handler knows their chicks.

Kiaya Owens spoke more about some of the rewards that were given out tonight.

“We give out all kinds of rewards. We give trophies for cage decorations. We give trophies for showmanship. All of the chickens get a blue or red ribbon. We do record books; all kinds of rewards,” said Owens.

Owens says she can’t wait to attend next year’s poultry show.
