DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The city of Dothan has decided to put up an offer of $2.5 million to purchase the Houston County Farm Center from the Houston County Commission.

The original buyer, the Brightwork group out of Florida has already offered between $2.2 million to $2.5 million for the property, therefore, the city decided to offer a price and leave the decision in the hands of the commission.

If the county accepts the city’s offer, Dothan will have full control of the Farm Center and the development of that area.

This is a developing story stay with WDHN for more updates.
