City of Ozark prepares for tourism-centered summer

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — The city of Ozark is gearing up for a summer of tourism.

Ozark has many events planned for this summer in order to attract visitors to the city.

With baseball tournaments, events by Ed Lisenby Lake, and performances by the Wish Upon a Star Theater, Ozark plans to have an eventful summer.

With all these events, Ozark’s economic development corporation president says there’s something for everybody.

“I feel like Ozark is really booming right now,” Holle Smith said. “Our downtown is full and there are a lot of fun things to do there. The first Saturday of each month there’s a champagne brunch and that’s followed by some special shopping downtown. That same evening the entertainment district is hosting several events so that’s a lot of fun.”
