COFFEE CO., Ala. (WDHN) — Coffee County EMA Director James Brown says the COVID positivity rates continue to increase in the Wiregrass.

At Monday’s Coffee County Commission meeting, Brown says the COVID-19 testing center on the ESCC campus tested nearly a thousand people in its first week of operation.

Brown says half of those being tested are coming-up positive. In addition, he gave an update
on the number of students testing positive in the Enterprise, Elba, and Coffee County school districts.

He says in each district, the numbers are up. Masks are encouraged for students, but it’s not a requirement.
