ABBEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — Two suspects have been arrested for drug trafficking after an Abbeville traffic stop.
On Saturday, June 11, at around 1:40 p.m., patrol officers with the Abbeville Police Department made a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation.
During the stop, officers say they recovered approximately 4.1 pounds of marijuana, mushrooms, and drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Javon Antonio James, 30, of Headland was arrested and charged with marijuana trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.
Alycia Marie Hoffman, 34, of Bel-Air, Maryland was also arrested and charged with marijuana trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.
Both James and Hoffman have been placed in the Henry County Jail on a $178,000 bond.
