UPDATE:

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)— WDHN News has learned that a 64-year-old Enterprise woman has been arrested on charges linked to the deadly shooting that killed Hayden Townsend, a 16-year-old from Enterprise.

Dovie Wooten Ankrom,64, is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Ankrom is related to one of the underage teenage suspects facing charges for the shooting.

Hayden Townsend was at Ankrom’s home in the 600 block of Tartan Pines when he was shot and killed on August 2.

Ankrom’s arrest brings the total number of arrests in the case to five. She has posted bond and is scheduled to appear in the Enterprise courtroom on Monday, September 26th.

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Around noon on Friday, Enterprise Police arrested three juveniles in connection to the killing of a teenage boy from Tartan Pines.

They are charged with obstructing governmental operations. No names have been released since the suspects are underage and charged as juveniles.

Tuesday, Hayden Townsend, 16, was found unresponsive inside a home in the 600 block of Tartan Pines. Police entered the home after receiving a 911 call. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later Tuesday night, Enterprise police arrested a 14-year-old girl and said she was the one who shot and killed Hayden. She is facing manslaughter charges. Due to her age, her name is also not being released.

These latest charges bring the total number of arrests to four in the case.
