DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man has been arrested after police say he was soliciting a juvenile using a computer.

Melvin Reeves, 48, of Dothan has been arrested and charged with one count of electronic solicitation of a child.

On Friday, the Dothan Police Department was notified of possible electronic solicitation in which a juvenile received an electronic message from the suspect who was attempting to entice the juvenile into sexual contact.

Due to the sensitive nature of this case and the juvenile privacy laws, no further information will be released.

Reeves is currently in the Houston County Jail with a bond set at $15,000.
