Friends of Blount say he worked for FedEx as a delivery driver, but that didn’t stop him from competing in fishing tournaments with his dad.
They also say Blount loved his family and loved to cheer on the Alabama Crimson Tide
“Robert was a good ole country boy, who would help you with anything you needed,” one friend says.
DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man was found dead in his home early Sunday morning.
Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd identifies the victim as Robert Blount, 48, of Dothan.
Byrd says the cause of death appears to have been a gunshot wound, but Blount’s remains have been transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to determine the official cause of death.
The family has been notified and the Dothan Police Department is currently investigating this case as a murder investigation.
