ENTERPRISE, Ala (WDHN) — A 19-year-old Newton man is facing multiple charges including attempted murder after police say he shot three people in a car.
On February 13, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Enterprise Police responded to the 600 block of College Street on a call of shots fired.
According to the Enterprise Police Department, witnesses in the area said a shooting took place after a verbal altercation in a home and as the victims were attempting to pull out of the driveway, a suspect, later identified as Spencer Saad, fired multiple rounds into the vehicle.
Police say a short time after the call, officers discovered that three victims were being treated at a local hospital for gunshot wounds. Two victims suffered gunshot wounds to the arms and the third victim is in critical condition.
After an investigation, on February 14, at 4:30 a.m., EPD Detectives arrested Saad and charged him with three counts of Attempted Murder, Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of an Altered Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail.
According to Jail records, Saad does not have a set bond yet.
The shooting is still under investigation.
