BLAKELY, Ga. (WDHN) — A suspect has been arrested in a Monday night shooting in Blakely.

At around 11:00 pm on Monday, Blakely Police Officers say they got a call of a person that had been shot while driving a vehicle.

The victim, who is a minor, was later admitted to LifeBrite emergency room with a gunshot wound to the leg, officials say.

Police later found the victim’s vehicle near Rose Drive and North Main Street; and found the shooting happened on Malone Road, police say. Evidence of the shooting was recovered from both the vehicle and the scene on Malone Road.

According to police, Jaquantavious Foster, 28, who was eluding arrest from a domestic incident and assault the night before, was identified as a suspect in this shooting. Police did not find Foster Monday night.

At around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police found Foster and arrested him.

Foster is being held in the Early County Jail on multiple counts of aggravated assault and weapons charges.
