DALEVILLE, Ala (WDHN)—The suspect in the Honeysuckle Road shooting has been arrested in Houston County.
On December 12, Devin Beach, of Daleville, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for assault in the first degree.
According to a release from the Daleville Department of Public Safety, in October 2022, officers responded to a shooting in the 500 Block of Honeysuckle Road. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg and began first aid.
The victim was transported to the hospital and officers began searching the area and notified investigators.
Once Investigators arrived, they began interviewing witnesses and Beach was named the prime suspect. Investigators learned that Beach had fled the area, according to the release.
A Be On The Look Out (BOLO) was sent to surrounding agencies and an arrest warrant on Beach for assault in the first degree was obtained.
The warrant was placed in the National Data Base and forwarded to the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
