DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — On Friday, Dothan Police responded to a call of an armed robbery in the 300 block of W. Burdeshaw St. On scene, officers were able to talk to the victim, who said a man presented a firearm and demanded the victim’s money.

Attempts were made to locate the suspect that day but officers were unable to track the suspect down.

Five days later on Wednesday, the victim as well as a witness to the alleged robbery, saw the suspect and called the police.

Police were then able to make contact with the suspect, that man has been identified as 29-year-old Franklin Jermaine Baker, of Dothan.

Baker was arrested and was able to recover the firearm believed to be used in the alleged robbery.

The suspect has since been charged with first-degree robbery. His bond is set at $60,000.
