DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man is facing first-degree assault charges after police say he assaulted a man that he knew over a piece of property.

Dothan Police arrested Tylezayv’un Ailek Caldwell, 19, of Dothan, and charged him with first-degree assault for an incident that occurred on the 1000 block of West Main Street in Dothan.

Police say that Caldwell and the victim knew each other and that the two were arguing over property.

The victim was treated at a Dothan hospital for serious, but not believed to be life-threatening injuries.

Caldwell is currently in jail facing a $30,000 bond.
