DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A 19-year-old Dothan man was arrested Tuesday after police say he had illegal sexual contact with a juvenile.

According to Dothan Police, on Monday, January 30, DPD began an investigation into an allegation of inappropriate sexual contact between an adult male, identified as Froilan Joel Ramirez-Lopez, and a juvenile under the age of 16.

Police say after the investigation, Ramirez-Lopez was arrested on Tuesday, January 31, and charged with one count of Attempted Sexual Abuse First Degree.

Ramirez-Lopez is being held with no bond, according to DPD.

Due to the nature of the case and the Alabama Juvenile privacy laws, no further information will be released.
