DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A 26-year-old Dothan man has been arrested and charged with multiple sex crimes after a multi-month investigation.

According to Dothan Police, in January 2023, police began an investigation after being notified of allegations concerning sex crimes against a child that had occurred over the past few years, and as a result of the investigation, police obtained a warrant for the prime suspect, identified as Marlo Ming.

On Tuesday, March 14, at approximately 4:30 p.m., police made contact with Ming and arrested him.

Police say at the time of the arrest, Ming was in possession of a firearm that was determined to be stolen, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other material indicative of narcotic sales.

Ming is charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child Less Than 12, one count of sexual abuse in the second degree, one count of rape in the first degree, possession of marijuana, and one count of receiving stolen property in the second degree.

Ming is being held on a combined bond of $156,000.

Due to the sensitive nature of this case and the Alabama Juvenile Privacy Laws, police will release no further information.
