DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man was arrested on Saturday night after police say he shot into an occupied vehicle multiple times back in November.

Keith Shakur Helms, 19, of Dothan was arrested after police say Helms shot multiple times into a vehicle on the 700 block of Chinook Street in November of last year.

After forensic testing by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, it was determined the shots were fired from a weapon that was later found to be Helms’ weapon.

Five warrants were gathered for the arrest of Helms on five counts of first-degree attempted assault.

Helms has since bonded out of the Houston County Jail. He was facing a bond of $75,000.
