DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A murder suspect who was out on bond will now await the decision of a grand jury on a separate charge.
Jamie Townes is accused of killing Breunia Jennings back in 2018, after he allegedly shot multiple times into a car, killing her.
Police say the driver of the car Townes was shooting from was human rights activist Kenneth Glasgow.
Both were arrested at the time and charged with capital murder.
Glasgow’s murder charges were dropped in 2021 by a Houston County grand jury.
Townes was arrested in February and charged with robbery causing his bond to be revoked once again.
Townes and his attorney filed that they will not argue that in court.
He was set for a preliminary hearing in the robbery case on Friday, but the judge decided to waive the case directly to the grand jury.
