DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan woman has been arrested after police say she endangered five children with drug-soaked candies.

On Thursday night, officers responded to a call in the 2000 block of Shadybrook Lane in Dothan. While there, police say they found the adult female at that home was in charge of five children, all under the age of 17.

In a common area of the home, she had what police believed to be liquid Xanax-soaked gummy candy.

All five children had access to the candy, and police say she might have allowed one of the children to eat some of the candy.

Brandy Leshee Waters, 41, of Dothan, was arrested and charged with five counts of chemical endangerment of a child.

Waters is currently in the Houston County Jail with a $75,000 bond set.
