HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — On the heels of the fifth arrest in the double murder case of Damien Bell and Shauna Terry, another suspect was formally arraigned in court today.
On Wednesday, April 26, David Allen Bastian, 37, of Port Saint Lucie, Fl., entered a plea of not guilty to the charges of one count of capital murder, one count of first-degree kidnapping, and one count of abuse of a corpse.
Bell and Terry were last seen leaving the Adams Inn Motel in Dothan on July 8, 2022. They were reported missing by family on July 11, 2022. The bodies were later discovered buried on Long Round Bay Road in Holmes County, Florida.
As of today, a total of five suspects have been arrested for their involvement in the murders.
Bastian’s next court appearance is set for Wednesday, June 14 for a status and scheduling hearing before trial.
