ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — New information on the case of an Enterprise man who has been charged with murder after Alabama state troopers say he was involved in the fatal crash of a woman on Wednesday.
According to Coffee County court records, Alex Rivera-Hernandez has waived his preliminary hearing and has waived having a court-appointed attorney until Rivera-Hernandez is able to speak with his family.
Giselle Burgos-Santiago’s daughter has posted a GoFundMe page and according to the page, her family is doing everything they can to move her body back to her roots in Puerto Rico.

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — An Enterprise man has been charged with murder after Alabama state troopers say he was involved in the fatal crash of a woman on Wednesday.
Alex Rivera-Hernandez, 37, of Enterprise was charged with murder after a single-vehicle crash Wednesday, where he was the driver, resulting in the death of an Enterprise woman, according to ALEA.
In the original release from Wednesday, state troopers said that Giselle Burgos-Santiago, 39, was a passenger in the car and was ejected from the vehicle after the car left the road and hit multiple trees. She was not using a seatbelt.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and Rivera-Hernandez was taken to a Montgomery hospital.
Rivera-Hernandez is currently in the Coffee County Jail with a $75,000 bond.
