ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)—Last month, a five-man, seven-woman Coffee County jury found Erica Alexander guilty of a lesser included a charge of manslaughter. The 36-year-old Enterprise resident had been on trial for murder.

She was on trial for murder in the shooting death of 31-year-old Latosha Jones. In trial testimony, Alexander pulled a gun from her purse after being hit in the face by the victim outside a home on White Street in July 2019.

The two women were reportedly arguing over a man at the time of the fatal shooting.

After hearing sworn testimony from the victim’s family and friends. Judge Clark delayed sentencing to
Wednesday morning so she has time to reflect on today’s testimony and gives her time to pray about her decision on a sentence.
