POPLAR SPRINGS, Fla (WDHN) — A Slocomb man was arrested in Holmes County after deputies say he admitted to having drugs in the car during a traffic stop.
According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, on February 9, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office performed a traffic stop on Highway 173, north of Highway 2.
Authorities say that during the stop, the driver, Terry Tedders, of Slocomb, told deputies that he had methamphetamine and a pipe in the center console of the vehicle. K9 unit Lasso conducted a free-air sniff around the vehicle and confirmed the presence of illegal narcotics by giving a positive alert.
A probable cause search of the vehicle ensued and deputies discovered a baggie of methamphetamine, a glass pipe containing methamphetamine, and additional drug paraphernalia, according to the HCSO.
Tedders was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
