ESTO, Fla. (WDHN) — Florida deputies have announced the arrest of two Houston County residents on drug charges. They are also accused of having stolen property from Geneva County.
On Tuesday, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop. He identified the driver, Justin Jarrard of Dothan, AL, who told the deputy that his driver’s license was suspended.
While the deputy was talking with the driver, another deputy saw marijuana in plain view inside the vehicle.
The passenger, Mary Allison Foxworth of Webb, AL, left the vehicle and a probable cause search was done.
During the search, deputies say they discovered a small container of methamphetamine and syringe police say belonged to Jarrard.
Upon searching Foxworth’s purse, deputies say they also found the shaft of a pen that had
methamphetamine and a hydrocodone pill.
Justin Jarrard was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended, and
possession of drug paraphernalia.
Foxworth was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After deputies did an inventory of their vehicle, tools, and HVAC equipment with an estimated value of more than $20,000 were suspected to have been stolen during a burglary and theft in Geneva County, AL.
