WICKSBURG, Ala. (WDHN) – The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a house fire as a possible crime scene in Wicksburg.

Crews were called to the 700 block of Winslet Road in Wicksburg and when they arrived they found a home fully engulfed in flames. Multiple agencies responded and were able to knock down the flames.

Officials say they are still investigating to see if anyone was in the home at the time of the fire. Neighbors say two people originally lived in the home, but they were evicted from the residence two weeks ago.

Currently, fire crews are looking for hot spots and law enforcement officials have roped off the area with crime scene tape.
