HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Houston County Sheriff’s Office says that 25 bullets were fired in a Monday night shooting in Rehobeth as deputies continue to track down leads in the case.

Three homes were shot at in what investigators are calling a drive-by shooting on Monday night.

The shooting happened at the Magnolia Court Mobile Home Park in Rehobeth.

Officials say 25 bullets were retrieved and bullet holes were found in each of the three homes, but luckily no one was harmed in the shooting.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office has confiscated a car believed to have been driven by the alleged shooter. They are now conducting DNA tests on the vehicle.

Neighbors tell WDHN that a gold car rolled up to the street, then a man got out, walked the fence line, and shot into the three homes.

Neighbors have heard this may be the result of an angry ex-boyfriend trying to scare someone.

Investigators on the case say they currently do not have enough information to say that this shooting was driven by some domestic motive.
