JACKSON COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — A 65-year-old Grand Ridge man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of child sex materials.
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, on January 12, agents received a cyber tip about a computer user uploading child sexual abuse material online and also conducting searches for more of the same material.
After an investigation started and through different techniques, agents say they were able to identify a suspect, John Pren Burdeshaw, as the source of the uploading and searches.
The FDLE says agents, along with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at Burdeshaw’s home and after initial examinations, discovered evidence of images featuring children as young as four years old being sexually abused.
Burdeshaw was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on Thursday, March 30, and charged with 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
Additional charges are possible pending further forensic analysis.
The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 14th Judicial Circuit.
