TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — The suspect has been identified following a deadly Saturday night shooting in Troy that left one dead and sent one to the hospital.
According to the Troy Police Department, 48-year-old Arick Dwayne Christian has been arrested in relation to the murder of 29-year-old Quinton Keith Miller of Ariton.
Troy Police responded to a shooting on the 700 block of South Brundidge Street in Troy just after 10 p.m. on Saturday night.
Lt. Brian Weed with the Troy Police Department says when law enforcement arrived they found two gunshot victims. One of the victims, Miller, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other victim was taken to a Dothan hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Troy Fire Department also responded to the scene and provided medical attention.
Christian was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Troy Police Department.
Police say after further investigation, Christian was charged with murder and transported to the Pike County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
The other unnamed victim was treated and released from a Dothan hospital.
This case remains under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
