TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Troy Police Department has arrested a man on multiple charges including drug trafficking.

Dwight Demetrius Myhand, 48, of Brundidge has been arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine trafficking, second-degree possession of marijuana, and attempting to elude.

On Wednesday at around 12:45 p.m, Troy Police Department Narcotic Officers tried to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 4000 Block of County Road 5513.

The vehicle pulled off the roadway and behind a building where it stopped. The driver, who Troy police say they identified as Myhand, fled the vehicle.

Myhand then fled the scene on foot but was arrested close to his vehicle.

Police say Myhand had more than 28 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine, which is a trafficking weight for both drugs.

Myhand is currently in the Pike County Jail on a $202,000 bond.
