OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — The Ozark man who was arrested and charged with shooting a firearm into an occupied vehicle has been released from jail, an official at the Dale County Jail confirmed.
Da’Mier McDaniel has been released back to his Ozark residence.

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — An Ozark man has been arrested and charged with shooting a firearm into an occupied vehicle, Ozark police confirm.
On Sunday, Ozark police were dispatched to the 800 Block of Martin Street on a call of shooting into a vehicle. When officers arrived, they located a victim on Church Avenue and Bingham Avenue.
The suspect was identified as Da’Mier McDaniel, 19, of Ozark.
McDaniel was interviewed and confessed to the crime of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Evidence of his involvement in the crime was also discovered at the scene.
McDaniel is currently in the Dale County Jail with no bond set.
The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.
