HOLMES COUNTY, Fla (WDHN) — The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men accused of scamming multiple churches across state lines out of money.

The HCSO says the suspects, identified as Henry Green and Timothy Purifoy, have been approaching multiple churches and giving fake names and detailed stories to collect money.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, several Florida churches have fallen victim to the scam, and Alabama authorities confirmed to the HCSO that the two men have been involved in defrauding churches in Alabama as well.
