JACKSON COUNTY, Fla (WDHN) — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect wanted in relation to an early morning shooting that injured one.
On Monday, March 13, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home outside of Cottondale after a call came in regarding a shooting.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, once deputies arrived at the home, they found a woman had been shot and was taken to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services.
Officials did not specify what condition the victim was in.
After an investigation, deputies say they identified the suspect as Juan Luis Cervantes, who is currently wanted and is known to drive an older model Silver Toyota.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind citizens that Cervantes is considered armed and dangerous, and if they see him or the vehicle, do not approach and immediately call the JCSO at 850-482-9624.
Once located, Cervantes will face attempted murder charges.
The JCSO is working with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on the case.
